Affordable 3D printers to get you started with OpenRC

One question I get asked a lot is what 3D printer to get for the OpenRC projects & primarily the OpenRC F1 car. As with so many other things we all have different preferences on what may be best for you in terms of a suitable 3D printer. However, if you want to get going and start with the OpenRC Formula 1 I have put together a list of some of the printers I have seen people using, are affordable and somewhat popular. It´s important to note that I have not tested these printers myself but I have merely looked at what others are using. The specs are from the Banggood website and of course prices are subject to change. Please check the product page on the Banggood website before making any decisions to buy.

OpenRC F1

All these printers will fit the OpenRC F1 parts and print materials such as PLA and PetG/Co-Polyesters that are most commonly used for the OpenRC F1. Many say they can print TPU/Flexible filaments too but i´m not sure what Shore values would work. Any feedback on this is would be highly appreciated.

Let Me Know What You Think

Please let me know what you think of this list. Is there a 3D printer that should be added or removed. Any technical info not accurate, let me know. Do you have one of these printers and have printed a OpenRC F1? Let me know what you think and also, if you have printed one, do you have any tips or thoughts you would like to share with others?
